LegacyPKC
Who we are:
LegacyPKC is a martial arts school that serves Taylor, Hutto, and the surrounding area. We are a member of Pratt's Karate Club (PKC), a respected martial arts organization, established in 1979. Through PKC we are also members of the United States Tae Kwon Do Association (USTA) under Grandmaster Doug Cook and members of the Superfoot System under Bill “Superfoot” Wallace. Our school is based in Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do. However, we share the PKC founding belief that in order to become a complete martial artist, one needs to be schooled in several disciplines and have an open mind. It is our belief that all martial art styles offer benefits to their students. Because of this, our program includes influence and training from other martial arts and karate styles. You will see material from Kickboxing, Judo, Hapkido, reality based self-defense, weapons, and sport karate in our program. Our curriculum offers training in:

The history of PKC:
Master Leonard Pratt, 7th Dan, established Pratt's Karate Club in 1979. Master Pratt had over 30 years of experience in martial arts training and over 20 years of experience as a black belt instructor. Master Pratt's dedication to the martial arts was very evident and he dedicated his life towards becoming the best martial artist he could be. After the passing of Master Leonard Pratt in 2003, his son Jason Pratt, with the support of the PKC black belt family, took his place as Master Instructor. He ensured the life of PKC and kept the beliefs and teachings of his father alive. In 2011 Master Jason Pratt was promoted to 6th Dan by Grandmaster Richard Chun becoming a Senior Master for the United States Tae Kwon Do Association. On August 16, 2014, Master Jason Pratt was nominated by Bill "Superfoot" Wallace and inducted into the U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Master Pratt was given the title of "2014 Korean Martial Arts Master of the Year." Most recently, on November 3, 2019, Master Jason Pratt was promoted by the United States Tae Kwon Do Association to 7th Dan and continues to lead PKC as Grandmaster Jason Pratt.

What we believe:
At LegacyPKC, we believe that martial arts are about more than just your physical training. Being a martial artist also includes being a person of character. Because of this, we train our students to not only practice the physical aspects of martial arts but also the virtues of respect, discipline, and integrity. We always strive to set an example of what it looks like to walk in good character and encourage our students to walk in it themselves.

Building teamwork, competitive spirits, and community is very important to us. We continually encourage our students to participate in the many events we hold each year. Events are geared around bringing all of the PKC locations together in a good family environment. Through tournaments, camps, seminars, and a summer martial art show student build lasting relationships and strong character.
